In three extended trips to India, he traveled around India, drawing and painting with the Italian writer Angela Ragusa. His travels in India are the Ballad of Sun & Dust in India, described with 58 watercolors, 1 pastel, 21 drawings, and 10 poems. Photographs of Bill taken of him while painting are by Angela Ragusa. He crisscrossed India on eighteen trains from North to South, and from West and Central India to the Northeast. This book invites readers to explore fifteen of India’s UNESCO World Heritage sites with a focus on landscapes inspired by the grandeur and stories from these places.
